KANDY / NUWARA ELIYA / BENTOTA / COLOMBO

DAY 01: ARRIVAL / PINNAWALA / KANDY

Arrival in Sri Lanka.

You will be met on arrival at the International Airport by our representative who will assist you with your luggage and guide you to your vehicle where your personal chauffeur guide awaits 
Then proceed to Kandy via Pinnawala.

En-route Visit :

  • Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage – Started in 1975 to house the abandoned and the wounded, the orphanage has grown to be a big family today. A unique experience never to be missed
You will then check-in to the Hotel in Kandy.

  • Kandy

Kandy – The hill capital. Venue of the annual Perahera. The last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings was   finally ceded to the British in 1815. Kandy is an example of the Buddhism’s influence in Sri Lanka today. Temple’s shrines and monasteries keeping alive Buddhist traditions are everywhere. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Kandy which is a UNESCO world heritage site. The historic city about 480m above sea level surrounded by mountains was known to Sri Lankan as Kanda Uda Rata, which means the hill country. Kandy was   home to Sri Lanka’s last independent Kingdom, which survived two centuries of colonial incursion before finally falling to the British. Visit the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden and Peradeniya University campus and catch a panoramic view of the picturesque town from Upper Lake Drive.

  • Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic  – ever since 4th Century A.D, when the Buddha’s Tooth was brought to Sri Lanka hidden from sacrilegious hands in an Orison princess’ hair, the Relic has grown in repute and holiness in Sri Lanka and throughout the Buddhist world. It is considered Sri Lanka’s most prized possession.

  • In the evening witness the Cultural Dance Program.

DAY 02: KANDY / PERADENIYA / NUWERA ELIYA

Breakfast at the Hotel. Then, proceed on the below Tour of Nuwara Eliya.

 
  • Royal Botanical Gardens

Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya, Sixty Seven hectares of exquisite beauty and botanical treasurers containing more than 4000 species, this is a haven not only for Scientists but to every nature lover as well.
You will be then transferred to Nuwera Eliya. Visit the Hanuman Temple.

  • Hanuman Temple

According to the ancient stories, Ramboda is an area, where the forces of Rama’s gather to fight against King Ravana. This temple was built by the Chinmaya mission of Sri Lanka and dedicated to Hanuman. This temple houses for 16 feet height statue of Hanuman.

Check-in to the hotel. Dinner and Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

DAY 03: NUWARA ELIYA / BENTOTA

Breakfast at the Hotel. Then, proceed on the below City Tour.

  • Nuwara Eliya City

Nuwara Eliya is a city, in the hill country of the Central Province, Sri Lanka. The meaning of Nuwara Eliya is “city on the plain (table land)” or “city of light”. The city is the administrative capital of Nuwara Eliya District, with a picturesque landscape and temperate climate. It is located at an altitude of 1,868 m (6,128 ft) and is considered to be the most important location for Tea production in Sri Lanka. The city is overlooked by Pidurutalagala, the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka. The city, established by the British in the nineteenth century. , and known as “Little England” and is a popular holiday resort for Sri Lankans tourists due to its cool climate and quaint colonial feel with its little bungalows surrounded by hedgerows. Nuwara Eliya is also the heart of the tea country and you can visit a plantation and a factory and witness how the famous “Ceylon Tea” is brewed.

You will be then transferred to Bentota.
Dinner and Overnight at South Beach Hotel.

DAY 04: BENTOTA / COLOMBO

Breakfast at the Hotel. Then, depart to Colombo. 

En-route Visit:

  • Boat Ride at Madu River

Later check-in to the hotel and relax. 

Dinner & Overnight stay in Colombo. 

DAY 05: COLOMBO

Breakfast at the Hotel. Then check-out and proceed for Colombo City Tour.

Colombo City Tour Sightseeing highlights include the Colombo National and Dutch period museums, old and new parliament houses, Gangarama Buddhist Temple, Town Hall, and the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall. Thereafter , you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
